During his visit to MESC-RAK facility, Eng. Hashem Al Huneidi, the Groups’ CEO, declared the important aspects of this project to the region: “Our core scenario is to continue gradual efforts at economic integration since there will be greater focus on manufacturing industries in the region, because the last couple of years have focused world attention to the GCC economies- not only as exporters of oil and gas, but as investment destinations with major infrastructure and financial projects, manufacturing services and touristic districts”.

While, Said Al Karram, the General Manager of MESC-RAK stated that the Group’s new facility will be one of the major projects in Al Ghayl Industrial Park of Rakia and will be a solid base for the Group in the UAE.

MESC-RAK the inventor and sole producer of MESC Group not only in the UAE but throughout the region, has successfully completed machines erection and installation and product trial is expected to kick off by the end of the first quarter of 2010 with around 550-600MT of copper consumption per month as an expected capacity of different Industrial, Instrumentation and Control Cables.

Work is cut out when it comes to delivery projects to tight deadlines and even tighter budgets. Therefore, this new plant will help us balance our order books and in the coming years we will focus on aggressively increasing our market share and compete in a more difficult market where there will be less demand in terms of quantity, but will be huge demand in terms of quality, he added.
